What is the difference between Reiki and Seichem?
Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a Japanese word which means "Life Force Energy". This is the vital living energy force that gives life to all living things such as our fellow man, animals, birds, trees, plants and the Earth. The life force is the primary energy of our emotions, thoughts and spiritual life. So when we are happy and well we are less likely to get sick but when our life force energy becomes depleted we are more susceptible and vulnerable to illness. Reiki is the channeled Earth element which provides grounding and support.
In the western world we have been conditioned that the medical professionals know it all. So many people have given their power away and the right to work together as a team with the professionals for the betterment of our health and that of our families. Traditional healing skills have been neglected or forgotten. At a time when the pace of life is becoming faster and faster, and demands on our bodies are becoming greater and greater, many of the ancient natural healing therapies are being rediscovered. Holistic therapies are once again being sought after as an approach to healing and living a healthy lifestyle.
The powerful healing properties of Reiki and Seichem can be experienced by all who are drawn to them. Both the healer and healee receive healing during a session. It is a divinely guided form of energy that has an intelligence all of its own. It can be given as a therapy by hands on, distant and work well together with other complementary healing therapies including western medicine. A Reiki/Seichem healer can never promise miracles. But Reiki helps people very much during times of crisis, emotional traumas and physical health problems. It can reduce stress, used to aid sickness and to reduce or alleviate pain after an injury. It can help to calm situations locally and worldwide.
Seichem (pronounced Say- Keem) connects with the elements of Fire (sakara), water (sophi-el), air (angelic light) and earth (reiki). Seichem is an expanded version of Reiki and allows for more energy to be channeled during a session.

REIKI - is Connected with the earth element. The energy can be experienced as hot or cold. Characteristics of earth energy are those of grounding and foundation. Reiki can benefit by harmonizing and rebalancing the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. It forms a base through which the other elemental rays can work.
SAKARA - is connected with the fire element, and is experienced as hot and tingling, like a mild electrical current. Sakara works well in the electro-magnetic aura surrounding the body, and cleanses the chakras. The energy burns through and transforms blockages and resistance in the physical, mental, emotional and other spiritual bodies.
SOPHI-EL - is connected with the water element, and can be experienced as a gentle wave-like coolness, or as an intense cold, like ice. Sophi-El aids emotional and sexual healing, and opens the heart to receive love and to feel compassion. The energy reaches deep within the emotional body to find the core, cause and effect of the disturbance and opens the heart to receive love and feel compassion. Sophi-El also increases the healer's psychic awareness.
ANGELIC LIGHT - is connected with the air element, and also forms a link with the angelic realm. In the healer, perceptions through the third eye are enhanced. Clients often experience sensations of healing work being carried out nowhere near to the hands of the healer, accompanied by cool and gentle breezes.
What happens during a session?
You lay fully clothed on a healing table or sitting upright in a chair. The healer places his/her hands gently on your body or in your energy field. The healer channels where to go and what is needed at that given time. The energies you need will be brought down into the healer then into your body or energy field. If guided, the healer may even draw symbols upon your body or in your energy field to work on a specific situation or area in need.
Both Reiki and Seichem cleanse the body of built up toxins, relieves pain, balances the chakras, comforts, soothes, calms and releases emotional trauma. They loosen blocked energy and accelerate the body's own natural ability to heal itself while placing the client in a state of total relaxation and on the way to well-being. The healing helps stimulate the body’s own inner wisdom to heal at the cause of the problem and help to balance the body, mind and spirit. Suppressed feelings which can often manifest themselves in a physical way are released allowing for a deep personal healing to take place. In cases of terminal illness the quality of life can be enhanced, allowing for peace and serenity in the time remaining. Acute injuries can be helped to heal very quickly although more chronic injuries may take longer.
Some practitioners choose to treat the whole body as the energy is Divine and goes where it is most needed. Others will choose to focus on a particular area which needs treatment. We, at Serenity's Enlightenment, work to what we are being guided to do. We feel that the Divine knows what is most important and will show us how best to help our clients.
